Being the parent company of Drooyh (one of our clients), Yaralava is a defense drone products manufacturer in India.
With 15+ years of combined industry experience, the company manufactures weaponized drones, autonomous vehicles, asset tracking devices, etc.
The Yaralava team was looking for a design guideline for their brand. They already had a logo but it was missing out on basic attributes of a logo i.e. versatility, simplicity, etc.
Being the manufacturer of defense products, professionalism & seriousness was the primary ingredient of their brand guideline.
Our team buckled up and we initiated the work by designing some moodboards.
→ Defining the colors & typography
→ Building a logo guideline for the existing logo
→ Designing brand collaterals & mockups
→ Corporate pitch deck design to convince investors
→ Completely new industry (not much data available)
→ No big changes to be made to the icon mark
→ To be built on the AIDA concept for easy marketing
The final outcome was very professional and a serious design. We went ahead with the black & gold design as it provided us with both a premium & serious look.
We combined the colors with a San Serif font and raster images to bring out the customer-to-vendor trust relation & simplicity in design.
Based on our discovery session with the Yaralava team, we managed to come up with three different styleguides.
Our heart was with the non-risky dark blue version but the client went ahead with the black and gold design as it looked much more promising.
Although their choice was a risk, it definitely brought elegance, modernism, and professionalism to the design. So, we used the following attributes:
1. Black for a modern look
2. Gold for elegant CTA
3. Raster for emotional connection
4. Professionalism with San Serif
5. Simplicity throughout the design
We took the old Yaralava logo and transformed it using the golden ratio.
Finally, we trimmed the access part, made curves more uniform, and added a symmetrical triangle.
Lastly, we added a gradient gold color that started from the center of the logo to the end of the blades.
Apart from the logo, the client required us to design some digital collateral. This includes cover images, social media posts, visiting cards, invoices, letterheads, etc.
Apart from it, pitch deck design was an add-on activity that was included in this phase.
Finally, we jump to creating a brand guide that can be used by the client & other third-party vendors to maintain brand authenticity.
The following details were included in the brand guide:
1. Logo Family & Usage
2. Typography & Colors
3. Iconography & Photography
